2020 has been an incredibly challenging year; Covid-19 has affected all of us in unexpected ways. We want our supporters and the global community to know that we are remaining hopeful and determined to continue to BUIDL and positively contribute to the community at large in 2021.

While acknowledging the hardships many faced this year, we look forward to celebrating new developments from our various projects and from the community going into the new year.
At Gene Finance, investors of the DeFi space can now stake, yield farm, and swap. Staking and yield farming functions were first introduced in October and we’ve received an incredible amount of support from our communities. Swap is an automated market maker that will provide a decentralized trading experience. As an essential part of the swap functionality, liquidity providers also earn passive income by adding liquidity.
Next, we will introduce the cross-chain relay, which will act as an interoperable bridge that will connect crypto assets between Gene Finance, Ethereum, and other blockchain ecosystems. This will be followed by the implementation of a money market for debt investments and a digital bazaar for non-fungible crypto assets. Metaverse ETP has also made tremendous progress in implementing a secure, hybrid POW — POS consensus and adding the Dagger — Hashimoto mining algorithm to the new chain based on the substrate framework. The team is in the final testing stages of the Alpha testnet. Next, we will release this new architecture for the community to test and preview and a guide that will allow anyone to create their own test node and mine test tokens. Metaverse DNA, the application chain is also in final testing stages to release a decentralized exchange and will feature digital identity, fast transactions, and low trading fees.
The Scarcity Labs team has been hard at work breaking new ground in the tokenized space, launching their first platform, Ephimera, in November at #ArtProject2020 — an event hosted in collaboration with the prestigious Vancouver Biennale. With big plans for Ephimera in the works, they are already preparing to enter many other exciting markets within the rapidly growing NFT industry.
